CBSE board exams for classes 10 & 12 to be held offline in November
New Delhi/UNI: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced on Thursday that it will conduct the Board Exams for classes 10 and 12 in two terms, where term one will be held in offline mode starting in the month of November.
According to the information received from the apex school education authority, the first term of the Board examinations will be held in November while the next term will be conducted in March and April, 2022.
The exams will be of 90-minute durations each and would have objective type questions. They will start from 11.30 am instead of 10.30 am, keeping in view the winter season, it added.
The board has also issued guidelines to conduct the board examinations which specifies that only 20 students will be allowed to sit in a classroom to sit for the papers keeping in mind the COVID-19 protocols.
The board had earlier announced in July about a special assessment scheme for class 10 and 12 Board Exams 2022 that included bifurcating the academic session, holding two term-end exams and rationalising the syllabus.
"As major subjects are offered by all the affiliated schools, exams of these subjects will be conducted by fixing the date sheet as done earlier," a circular by the CBSE read.
“Regarding minor subjects, CBSE will make a group of schools offering these subjects, whereby more than one paper will be conducted by CBSE in these schools on a given day," it added.
