Kolkata, Aug 15 (IBNS): At a hair show named 'Cut, Chemical, Hair', organized at Kolkata's City Centre 1 on Friday evening, hair stylist Jawed Habib said that to maintain the quality of hair, regular use of shampoo is must for all.

The Jawed Habib group of companies and associates is one of India's leading hair and beauty salon and academic chains, operating across 24 states.

Models walked the ramp showcasing various hairstyles, including styles that looked like tattoos, which could be the trend in the upcoming festive season in Bengal, the organisers said.

Jawed Habib also held an interactive session with the audience where he offered solutions regarding different problems related to hair and advised on new trends of hairstyle.

Dismissing the popular notion that the use of hair colour can damage hair, Jawed Habib said, "Colour dries hair but it does not damage.”

According to Habib, it is important to keep your hair clean and "any good shampoo" would do.

Habib held junk food as a key reason for hair fall among children and young people.

"Timely food intake, water and milk are important to maintain hair quality” he added.

With reference to the general skin tone of Indians, Habib said that application of 'khaki brown' hair colour suits most Indians.

The renowned hairstylist also launched a package formulated by his daughter Sana Habib and called 'Beaute Yoga', which is a daily hair care regime consisting of pre-conditioner, shampoo, hair oil and hair serum.

The hair show was hosted by popular voice on radio, RJ Roy.
