Designer Ritu Kumar's new collection launched in Kolkata

Kolkata, Feb 25 (IBNS) Popular fashion designer Ritu Kumar has recreated the vintage look of 70's and 80's through her newly launched limited edition of sarees and scarfs at her store in Kolkata.

The collection of sarees and scarfs showcased the amalgamation of vast panorama of Indian weaves with the artistic brilliance of doyen of Indian fashion, keeping the vintage look in mind.

They are consisted of commercial silks like crepe, chinon and various naturally grown silks also called “ahimsa” silks.

To recreate the vintage effect, the sarees and scarfs are screen printed, creating a multi-coloured mage, using several hand screens in order to print one colour at a time.

The range of sarees starts from Rs.16,000 and will be available till Mar 3.
