Google posts colourful doodle on homepage to celebrate R-Day
The doodle, unveiled at midnight, shows a stadium full of people lined with the three colours of Indian flag: saffron, white and green.
India on Thursday is celebrating its 68th Republic Day amid tight security arrangements in the national capital and the rest of the country.
The Republic Day marks the anniversary of the adoption of the country's Constitution.
India adopted its Constitution in the year 1950.
As a part of the celebration, the national capital witnessed a grand parade at the historic Rajpath where the country's military prowess and achievements in different fields, state-of- the-art defence platforms, its diverse cultural and social traditions were on display amid the presence of President Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Guest of this year Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
