| | Mar 03, 2016, at 04:33 pm
Who does not want dark shouldering eyes with an intense gaze that can capture hearts? There was an era when a single swipe of kajal could do the magic.

Then came the time of eyeliners. A slick stroke of liner was enough to give an edge to your look. Times have changed, and makeup has evolved. A simple winged eyeliner might not be your magic wand forever. This is the era of smokyeyes, and when everyone seems to have mastered it, you are still wondering as to how on earth are you supposed to paint your eyes all black and still look polished! That’s an art, we tell you. Let’s look at some tips to master the smoky eye look all while being lazy as you are!

There are a lot of ways you can put together a smoky eye look. For this you need to own some best in the market eye shadow pallets, eye liners, brushes and more. Explore the range of eyeshadows online to find your favorite. You can buy eyeshadow online in India from Habbana to get some exclusive range of eye makeup products. Talking about the smoky eye, we will here discuss 3 of the simplest ways, and you are free to choose your favorite.

The Lazy Girl Hack:

This is the easiest and is ideal for those who find no time to apply makeup.

Things you need:

·         Liner

·         kohl

·         Mascara

·         Smudge brush (optional)

Procedure:

·         Start by applying kohl on your upper eyelid. Apply as much as you think is fair. Now apply more. You need not be careful about applying it properly. Just run the kohl pencil on your upper eyelids.

·         Now, use a smudge brush or your fingers to blend the fine lines of kohl and smudge it to give the eye a smoky finish. Smudge it consistently and create a curved shape out of it. Apply more kohl if you feel the need.

·         Apply some kohl on the inner rim of your upper eyelids and some on your lower lids.

·         Smudge the kohl on your lower lids a bit.

·         Apply eyeliner on your upper eyelid.

·         Finish the look with mascara.

Ta-da! There you have a super quick smoky eye!

Shades of Gray:

This one is a little more detailed, but it gets you that perfect gaze that can set everything ablaze.

Things you need:

·         Black, Gray and Nude eyeshadow

·         Applicator brush

·         Kohl

·         Eyeliner

·         Blending brush

·         Mascara

Procedure:

·         Start by sweeping the nude shade (a little lighter than your natural skin tone) across your entire eyelid.

·         Now, apply some gray from the middle of the eye towards the outer eyelid. Blend it well upward and outward to cover your crease.

·         The next step is to give a shadow to your outer eyelid. Take the darkest black and apply it outward on your outer eyelid taking it to the crease to create an arch-like shape.

·         Once you are done covering the third column of your eye, take a blending brush and blend everything well. Leave no signs of harsh lines and create a smooth transition from one shade to another. Your crease must be covered with the blended shades.

·         Apply eyeliner on your upper eyelid and create the shape you want. It can be cat-eye or the conventional stroke.

·         Run a kohl pencil across the inner rim of your upper and lower eyelids. Apply some more on the lower eyelids. Blend it with a smudge brush and to create a smoky effect.

·         Enhance your lashes with some mascara and you are good to go.

Voila! You now have that smoldering gaze you have always wanted. Just make sure you clean any residue on any other part of the face.

The Intense Dark Eyes:

This one is the something you see high-end models with. The intense dark eyes with a hint of Goth.

Things you need:

·         Coral, Burgundy and Black eye shadow.

·         Gel liner (Optional)

·         Applicator brush

·         Blending brush

·         Kohl

·         Mascara

Procedure:

·         Take the lightest coral color from your eye shadow pallet and apply it above your upper eyelid crease. Apply it well in an arch shape.

·         Apply some burgundy on your crease and bend it upwards and outwards.

·         Now, the darkest matte black and apply it all over your eyelid below the crease. You can also use your gel liner instead.

·         Blend the black upwards and outwards and remove all harsh lines. Make an arch shape out of it but do not cover the burgundy.

·         Apply some kohl on the inner rims of your upper and lower eyelids.

·         Apply more kohl on the lower eyelid and smudge it with a smudge brush a little.

·         Finish off your look with mascara.

This intense dark gaze has the power to melt hearts. Just be cautious of breaking a lot of hearts.

There are still more ways of getting a smoky eye. Once you have perfected the art, you can try it out with more shades of green, purple and brown. A smoky eye can be your go-to look for almost any event. Be it an everyday routine or a party night at a club. It even works in weddings. So there’s no way you are going to miss learning this art. Go ahead and paint your canvas.
