Two's company, three's a crowd. Well, not quite right always. For when three Kolkata friends  with diverse creative talents bring together their passion, they aim to pull crowds instead.

With the festive Season knocking on the door, the three Musketeers are ready with their upcoming exhibition-  Sambhar- the Festive Collection.

Dola Mukherjee, Elora Sen and Madhumita Chattopadhyay  are the forces behind  ‘Dola Mukherjee Wearable Art' ,  ‘Elora's Art'  and   'Dali by Madhumita’ .

The trio will exhibit their creations at Cafe Darjeeling from August 23 to 25 ,2024 . Café Darjeeling is located at 38, Golf Club Road,   Film Service, Kolkata  near RCJC ( Royal Calcutta Golf Club).

This Trunk Show/ Exhibition that the three are organizing is not only to deck you up but also your home! So, from handcrafted , hand woven Sarees, Blouses, Stoles and Dupattas to Floral Dresses and Ornaments to Paintings , the three- Dola, Madhumita and Elora , the first time entrepreneurs, have embarked upon this fascinating journey, born of pure passion!

"Everyone is cordially invited to come and share the experience, to encourage us and help us build up a family of people who love and treasure art, the fantastic textile heritage of India and handcrafted products. We will draw the final curtain on 25th August with a Solo performance by talented Kabir Chattopadhyay with his musical composition at 6 p.m," said Dola Mukherjee speaking to IBNS.

About the Brands:

Dola Mukherjee Wearable Art: It has been conceived with the idea to showcase the rich weaving and crafts heritage of India. Lovingly called a “narrative woven with fabric”, it is these narratives and stories that are woven with the warp and the weft, that are painted with the brush, that are embroidered with the needle and thread. That is what makes the world of ‘WearableArt by Dola’ unique and fascinating! Through this medium of expression, it seeks beauty in the mundane, magic in simpler things!

Elora's Art: A journalist by profession, Elora Sen started painting to overcome the dark days of the pandemic. Completely self-taught, she loves to paint nature in all its glory. She has already had two successful solo exhibitions of her water colours. She also chanelises this passion of hers into a cause that is very dear to her. Most of the proceedings from the sale of her paintings are donated towards charity.

Dali by Madhumita: Love for floral prints, cotton fabric and contemporary  cuts, prompted Madhiumita to launch her own brand of casual wear-‘ Dali’!  Her love for various crafts of India, prompts her to use ‘ Ajrakh’, ‘ Bagru’ and ‘ Dabu ‘ Block prints and pure weaves. Madhumita’s mission is that everybody wearing ‘ Dali by Madhumita’ should shine in their most casual moments !
