Kolkata hot spots for winter special menus
Kolkata/IBNS: With the chill in the area, here are five restaurants which you can dive into for a whale of a time.
Hammer/Octa
Housed in the same building, these popular restaurants are good to hang out with your squad. The 2,000 sq ft resto-bar Hammer has had a complete face-lift and offers a fine view of the city. The rooftop is perfect for relaxed weekend brunches or sun-downers as you sip on their signature cocktails.
If you are concerned about seating arrangements following distancing norms, Octa is the place for you. They have a variety of seating areas, a spacious dance floor, and bar-side seating. Food ranges from dim sums to sushi to pizza, and more.
Highlights from the special winter menu include Avocado Cream Cheese Sushi Roll, Prawn Tempura Sushi, Classic Chicken Shumai Dim Sum, and Lamb Boti Kebab.

The Yellow Turtle
While most restaurants have winter special menus for lunch and dinner, this food venture from Asha Audio Company has also introduced a breakfast menu in sync with the season. The restaurant also has a private dining area, which gives a cosy feeling perfect for groups, meetings or a family get-together. The winter menu is available till January 2, 2022.
The café is known for its Asian specialties. Highlights from the winter menu include Ginger Capsicum & Corn Fried Rice with Four Stir Veg in Oyster Sauce, Lamb Chop served with a choice of sauce, such as black bean or chilli basil, tossed with Asian vegetables, Barbeque Pork Ribs, Classic Cheese Cake.

Pancham er Adday
This quaint musical café dedicated to the music of late RD Burman, it is full of Instagram worthy corners, including an arrangement of plants, large posters, and a secluded glassed room with a larger than life drawing of Zeenat Aman - the quintessential Dum Maaro Dum girl - looking at you. The café also has live music and sing-alongs during the evenings.
Its new Winter Special Menu (most of which is home-baked) consists of croissants, tuna sandwiches, hot dogs (made with brown and multi-grain breads) and more. They also have a number of specialty items such as fruit and plum cakes as well as chocolate croissants and brownies, etc.

Hola
Hola, which turned four this December, has launched a brand new menu, which also makes for an interesting seasonal menu.
Some of the special dishes include Chicken and Rosemary Casseroles, Indonesian Chicken Satay, Thele-Wala Mutton Seekh Kebab, Spicy Peanut Tofu, Soy- Glazed Black Pepper Chicken, Aloo Bukhara Kofta, Murgh Mulla do Piaza with Margarita Kulcha and Sour Cream, homemade Angoori Gulab Jamun with ice-cream, Red Velvet cocktail.

Sabka Club
The regular menu of this high energy pub and kitchen includes all-day all-season specialities. But you will find some more welcome with the chill in the air.
Try their Dino Egg Bao, Asparagus Corn Dim Sum, Olive Gintini or Popcorn Mojito.
