Kolkata's Deep Prakashan unveils its latest publication 'Joto Mot Toto Poth'
The book traces the path of metamorphism and challenges some age-old beliefs besides questioning the existence of God through the experiences drawn from the author's own life.
The author said, "I have endeavoured to draw a thin line between truth and notion. The chronicles of life and love and human struggle for existence has been vividly painted".
"The book preaches the irrelevance of superstitions and the importance of rationality. It contradicts the basic perceptions regarding various elements of human emotions and life," he added.
Author Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay said, "Even though I have not gone through the book but from what I've heard and understood, the book offers a counseling of sorts to overcome vague and irrational ideas. I'd definitely like to read it to understand more about what the author has tried to convey".
Speaking on the book, poet Subodh Sarkar said, "What amazed me while reading the book is that it challenges the already established beliefs. It is a brave attempt on the author's part to lay bare his own traumatic experiences and question the popular beliefs'.
"We expect the book to be successful and would surely make a statement in the days to come," said Diptangshu Mondal, Director, Deep Prakashan.
