Make- a- wish Foundation to announce ‘Wish a Teddy’ fundraiser
“WISH - A – TEDDY” is an exhibition and sale of exclusive, hand painted fiber glass teddy bears by India’s renowned artists like like Paresh Maity, Senaka Senanayake, Baiju Parthan, GR Iranna, Jayasri Burman, Nilofer Suleman, Vibha Galhotra, George Martin, Manil & Rohit Gupta, Seema Kohli, Valay Shende.
This event, being presented by Yes Bank and Nirav Mody, has been planned to celebrate World Wish Day – a global day of wish granting which falls on 29th April, 2014 .
Popular designers like Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, Sabyasachi, Anamika Khanna and Maheka Mirpuri have worked on these moulds to create ‘designer teddies’. Jewellers like Nirav Mody, Rose, Ghanasingh, Varuna Jani and Farah Khan have created jewellery inspired by the teddy bear, a symbol of childhood and joy.
Sangita Jindal and Neerja Birla who are trustees on the board of the Make-A-Wish Foundation India, will be hosting the fundraiser.
Speaking on the occasion, Jindal said, “We are looking forward to large hearted support from patrons of art & charity to take home these wonderful creations and in turn grant the wishes of several children."
