Mumbai, Apr 2(IBNS) : Actress Shraddha Kapoor took to ramp for ace fashion designer Masaba Gupta, who showcased her latest collection at the ongoing Lakmé Fashion Week.

Masaba’s remarkable collection that won brownie points from the fashion critics, was inspired by the iconic works of Matthieu Venot (ace French photographer) and German artist Katrin Bremermann.

The designer has incorporated the artists’ detail oriented art with her signature prints, staying true to her aesthetic and style.

Juxtapositioning Indian and Western elements, Masaba’s latest collection includes pieces like pencil – shaved frill pre-stitched saree, voluminous garbage bag pants, Angarkhas layered with the traditional kurtis, deconstructed blazers teamed with a draped dhoti skirt form the key silhouettes for the season.

Masaba made her foray in the fashion industry with the GenNext fashion show at Lakmé Fashion Week 2009, where she was awarded the most promising designer award and ever since there has been no looking back.
