The Vogue Bridal Studio debuts in Kolkata
Kolkata, Apr 29 (IBNS): The second edition of the Vogue Wedding Show began with the debut of 'The Vogue Bridal Studio' in Kolkata at the Taj Bengal with well-known designer, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Vogue India editor Priya Tanna and the Marketing Director of Conde Nast India, Oona Dhabhar.
The session was attended by distinguished guests including Shalini Nopany, Parul Swarup, Mukul Agarwal, Saroj Saran, Afroze Randerian, Fiza Randerian, Abhilasha Sethia, Rita Punwani, Minu Budhia and Madhulika Agarwal among others.
The Vogue Bridal Studio is an exclusive session that features bespoke bridal trends and a prelude to the Vogue Wedding Show 2014, slated to take place at the Taj Palace, New Delhi, on Aug 1-3.
The Vogue Wedding Show is an exclusive exhibition and to attend one must register in advance.
Speaking about the initiative, Priya Tanna, Editor, Vogue India, said, “The idea behind the conception of The Vogue Bridal Studio is to build the Vogue Wedding show as a democratic platform for consumers from all over India, to come to Delhi between August 1- 3 and to experience first-hand its offerings. Clearly Kolkata is an important and fast growing centre for luxury and lifestyle and it was truly memorable and special for us to kick off the Bridal Studio from here.
"The response was both positive and encouraging and the women of the city embraced us whole heartedly. The ladies were privy to many insights including bridal wear commandments and styling tips from Kolkata’s very own Sabyasachi Mukherjee. We look forward to meeting and connecting with them again at the Vogue Wedding Show in August," Tanna said.
The Vogue Bridal Studio commenced with highlights of the Vogue Wedding Show 2014 and Sabyasachi’s Bridal commandments. This was followed by an engaging rapid-fire Q&A conducted by Priya Tanna with Sabyasachi and an interactive session where the designer shared bridal tips with guests.
Sabyasachi said, “With the Vogue Wedding Show, the bride gets the right platform to plan for the most important occasion of her life. The team at Vogue India has worked hard to curate and present a hand-picked selection under one roof. It should be on the must-do list of a bride's calendar. The launch edition last year well displayed their efforts and I look forward to an even better showcase this year.”
Vogue Wedding Show, a specially curated exhibition featuring the most luxurious and personalized wedding services was launched by Vogue India last year. Given the overwhelming response received, Vogue India launched the The Vogue Bridal Studio this year with an attempt to bring the city’s elite a preview of the main event in August and a chance to interact with distinguished representatives of the fashion and Bridal Couture industry.
