West Bengal State Akademi of Dance Drama Music and Visual Arts holds a ten-day workshop, one-day seminar at Jorasanko Thakurbari in Kolkata
Kolkata, September 21 (IBNS) The West Bengal State Akademi of Dance Drama Music and Visual Arts, Rabindra Bharati University, held a ten-day workshop on ‘Set Design in Different Media’, including a one-day seminar, at the Jorasanko Thakurbari, Kolkata from September 10 to September 19.
The event witnessed the participation of 41 participants.
The workshop was inaugurated by the well-known theatre personality Bibhas Chakraborty.
It was conducted by Sanchayan Ghosh of Kala Bhavan, Visva Bharati University, Subrata Majumder, the well-known expert on light design, and Sanjit Ghosh of Ramoji Film City.
On the last day (September 19, 2015) a seminar was held, at which the three speakers- Tarun Pradhan, professor, Department of Drama, Rabindra Bharati University, Kallol Bhattacharya, well-known theatre personality and Subhabrata Singha Roy, professor, Department of Drama, Rabindra Bharati University participated.
At the end of the seminar, Sabyasachi Basu Ray Chaudhury, Vice Chancellor, Rabindra Bharati University, and also the Chairman of the Akademi, presided over the concluding function and gave away certificates to the participants of the workshop.
