Indian votes in final phase of Lok Sabha polls
India is voting in the final phase of the Lok Sabha polls on Saturday. Voting began at 7 am in themorning.
In this phase, Varanasi city in Uttar Pradesh will vote to elect their MP. Varanasi is a crucial seat as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the sitting MP from the constituency.
He is contesting from the temple city once again.
Another key candidate in this phase is Congress leader Shatrughan Sinha. He is contesting from the Patna Sahib seat.
In this phase, voters spread across 59 constituencies spread over seven states and one union territory are going to cast their votes.
Over 10 crore electorate will decide the fate of 918 candidates.
Polling, which began at 0700 hrs, will continue till 1800 hrs except for three assembly segments --Robertsganj, Dudhi and Chakia of the Robertsganj Lok Sabha seat where the polling will end at 1600 hrs.
Elaborate arrangements have been made to ensure free, fair and peacefully polling. Invoking Article 324 of the Constitution, the Election Commission had curtailed the campaign one day in advance in Bengal after a spree of violence.
Samajwadi Party complains of harassment of by BJP in Gorakhpur, Chandauli

The Samajwadi Party complained to the Election Commission of that its workers and leaders in Gorakhpur had been harassed during the polling on Sunday.
An SP delegation, led by senior leaders Udaveer Singh Yadav and Anand Bhadoria, met the UP EC officials here and complained about the detention of SP leaders in Gorakhpur, on the orders of BJP government, thus influencing the polling.

Central forces tortured voters: Mamata Banerjee

"Massive rigging including in Diamond Harbour, Dum Dum, North Kolkata. There are no central forces, no efforts to stop the highjacking of Democracy. EC cannot merely watch it needs to intervene decisively. It is the people resisting this violence and wresting back their rights," alleged Yechury in a post on Twitter on a day when Bengal witnessed widespread violence in polling.
