An NDA government will be formed for the third consecutive term. 

People of the country reposed faith in both the BJP and NDA. 

 

  • This win is the win of the world's biggest democracy. 
  • This is the win of a developed India and of the 1.4 billion people. 
  • I congratulate the Election Commission for executing the election so successfully. 
  • After 1962 this is the first time a government came to power for the third consecutive term. 
  • In all states where the assembly polls were held, the NDA won. 
  • BJP has opened account in Kerala (Lok Sabha) while it swept in states like Odisha to power for the first time.
  • I bow before the people for blessing us for the third time.
  • We took bold steps like removing 370 from Kashmir.
  • We lifted out of poverty 20 crore people in our tenure and we would not stop we remove poverty.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tuesday thanked the people of India for giving the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) a "historic" third consecutive win.
"People have placed their faith in NDA, for a third consecutive time! This is a historical feat in India's history," PM Modi said in a post on X.

Congress chief Mapanna Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday accpeted the mandate of the people after his party registsred a strong show in the Lok Sabha polls, altering the trend of landslide victory for the incumbent BJP government as predicted by exit-polls.

"We are accepting the mandate of the people," Kharge said.

He said the mandate of the election has gone against PM Narendra Modi.

"A party was asking for votes by showcasing a particular face," he said.

"This time the people of the country have not voted a single party in power," he said.

He said the Congress stayed positive in its approach all throughout the polls despite all handships caused to it.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leading in Uttar Pradesh's Varanasi constituency as the counting of the votes in the Lok Sabha polls is underway on Tuesday.

Modi is taking on Congress' Ajay Rai from the seat.

Congress top leader Rahul Gandhi, who contested from Kerala's Wayanad and Uttar Pradesh's Rae Bareli, is leading from the seat.

The Lok Sabha Elections 2024 were held in seven phases from April 19 to June 1.

As per the initial trends, the BJP-led NDA is leading in over 200 seats while the opposition camp, INDIA, is struggling at around 140 seats.

However, these trends are initial and coming from the postal ballots.
