PM Modi, Xi Jinping informal meeting in Tamil Nadu: All updates
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping will be holding their second informal meeting in the state of Tamil Nadu in India.
The two leaders had their inaugural informal summit in Wuhan, China on Apr 27-28. In this meeting in Tamil Nadu, no deal will be signed.

Modi, Jinping discuss terror and trade at Mamallapuram
11 Oct 2019, 06:09 pmIndia's foreign secretary Vijay Gokhale said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping, who spent the day in the UNESCO world heritage site of Mamallapuram in Tamil Nadu, had discussions for over five hours and about 150 minutes over meal where they among others expressed concern over radicalisation and terrorism.
Briefing media on the second informal meeting of Modi and Jinping (briefing was delayed by hours owing to the long engagement of the two leaders over dinner), Gokhale said they discussed challenges of terrorism and radicalisation.
Radicalisation was a matter of concern to both, he said, adding that Modi and Jinping discussed that it should not be allowed to affect our multi cultural societies.
They also discussed trade deficit and trade imbalance.

11 Tibetans arrested ahead of Xi's arrival
11 Oct 2019, 08:27 amA couple of hours before the arrival of Chinese President Xi Jinping for the informal summit with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 11 Tibeteans--five of those who attempted to stage a protest demonstration in front of the hotel where Mr Xi would be staying--were detained by the police on Friday.
Police sources said six others, who came from Bengaluru by road to the Chennai airport in a bid to stage a black flag protest, were arrested.
Police said five Tibeteans, including two women carrying tibetan flags, breached the high security corridor near the ITC Grand Chola, where Mr Xi Jinping would be staying, started shouting slogans against him and attempted to stage a protest demonstration.
