Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday ended his Bhoomi Pujan (ground breaking) ceremony speech of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi (building of a Ram temple) in Ayodhya with a message for all Indians to wear mask and maintain social distance by following the discipline and modesty of Lord Ram in the time of coronavirus.
"Do gaj ki doori, mask hai zaroori (keep a distance of two gaj- which is like six feet- and wear mask).. it is all the more important today amid coronavirus to follow the maryada practised by Ram," he said referring to discipline, modesty and righteousness associated with Ram, who is considered the 7th avatar of the God Vishnu.

Laying the foundation stone of Ram Mandir at Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya amid the Novel Coronavirus scare, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said Lord Ram is in the ideals and faith of the country.
Modi, who shared dais with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat, said in his address, "There is no aspect of life where Rama does not inspire. There is no such feeling of India in which Lord Ram is not seen. Ram is in the faith of India, Ram is in the ideals of India! Ram is in the divinity of India, there is Ram in the philosophy of India."
PM Modi lays foundation stone for Ram mandir in Ayodhya
05 Aug 2020, 01:27 pmPrime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for a Ram temple amid chanting of hymns here.
The foundation stone was laid exactly at 1244 hrs with slogans of ' Jai Shree Ram' and ' Bharat Mata Ki Jai' filling the air. A 40 kilograms sliver brick with details of the Ram temple movement inscribed on it was laid first.
The 'bhoomi pujan' ceremony was attended by select people which included UP Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat besides Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Thirath Khetra Trust members.
The priests also narrated in detail the importance of the Ram temple, Ram rajya and how a 500-year-old dream was fulfilled.

Security beefed up in Ayodhya

Security has been beefed up in Ayodhya for the ceremony which will see participation of several top BJP leaders of the country.
State ADG (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar here said that security has been increased in and around Ayodhya but denied any specific input by intelligence agencies on possibility of terror attack at the Bhoomi pujan function here on August 5 to be attended by Prime minister Narendra Modi and other senior BJP and Ram temple movement leaders.
