New Delhi, May 16 (IBNS): Even as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is headed towards a single majority to lead a strong and encumbrance free regime at the centre with Narendra Modi as the next Prime Minister of India, party big weight Arun Jaitley lost to Congress's Capt. Amarinder Singh in Amritsar.

Jaitley congratulated Amarinder  Singh for his victory.

"Congratulations to Capt. Amarinder  Singh for his victory in Amritsar Parliamentary Constituency," Jaitley tweeted.

Trends on Friday showed a NDA government in New Delhi under Narendra Modi is now almost a reality.
