Lucknow, Apr 24 (IBNS) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and his father and Samajwadi Party (SP) supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav on Thursday cast their ballots in the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha elections.

Akhilesh cast his vote from Saifai in Etawah district.

He said he is confident of SP winning the General Elections 2014.

"The SP will get maximum seats in UP. I am confident of that. The farmers, the poor, all the people here have always supported us," said Akhilesh after casting his vote.

Mulayam Singh was among the early voters in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday.

After casting his vote, he hit out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and said, 'The polls are no challenge for us. It is for others to prove their capability. The (Narendra) Modi wave is present only in Gujarat."
