The woman accused of honey-trapping a 26-year-old man, who was fatally shot at a Burger King outlet in Delhi, was arrested from Uttar Pradesh as she was trying to cross the border and flee to Nepal on Friday.

19-year-old Anu Dhankar, also known as "Lady Don" in her gang circle, was captured by security cameras carrying her luggage at Jammu and Kashmir's Katra Railway Station earlier this year with her face hidden by a scarf.

On June 18, CCTV footage showed the victim, Aman Joon, entering the Burger King outlet in Delhi's Rajouri Garden and sitting at a table where Anu was already waiting.

Moments later, the men come and spray him with bullets. The woman runs away reportedly taking Aman's phone and wallet.

Police investigation revealed that Anu, a close aide of wanted gangster Himanshu Bhau, was involved in the honey-trapping Aman Joon and luring him to the Burger King outlet in Rajouri Garden on the night of June 18, where he was shot down, according to the report.

Anu, who hails from Haryana’s Rohtak, has a criminal history. Police had since then launched a manhunt to locate her.

According to the FIR registered in the case, a total of 38 bullets from three different types of firearms were fired at Aman Joon inside the fast-food outlet, indicating the use of more than two weapons by the two shooters.

Aman's body was discovered behind the billing counter, indicating he tried to escape his perpetrators when the shooting started.

Himanshu Bhau, who is believed to be in Portugal, claimed responsibility for the murder in a social media post, describing it as a "revenge killing."

Bhau, whose gang operates throughout Delhi and Haryana, is known for extortion and is an aide of jailed gangster Neeraj Bawana. He fled the country in 2022, according to a police officer.

Post the murder, Anu visited her rented room in Mukherjee Nagar and collected her belongings before taking a bus to Chandigarh, police told the media. She had stopped at Amritsar and Katra.

In Katra, she stayed at a guest house but upon orders from Himanshu Bhau took a train to Jalandhar, the cops added. She again visited Chandigarh and then arrived in Haridwar, the cops said.

She was in Haridwar for 3-4 days and then shifted base to Kota in Rajasthan, where she stayed for the next four months.

During this period, the gangster kept sending her money, the police said.

On October 22, the gangster asked her to move out again as the case had gone cold, the cops added.
