Army dog Phantom dies in anti-terror op in Jammu and Kashmir's Sunderbani Sector
Srinagar/IBNS: The Indian Army Monday informed that its dog 'Phantom', a Belgian Malinois and part of the White Knight Corps, was killed in action with terrorists in Sunderbani Sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Akhnoor.
As the army unit was closing in on the terrorists trapped in the Sunderbani Sector, Phantom, who was part of the anti-terror operation, drew enemy fire and sustained bullet injuries.
"We salute the supreme sacrifice of our true hero, a valiant Indian Army dog, Phantom.His courage, loyalty, and dedication will never be forgotten," the White Knight Corps said in honour of the four-year-old dog.

The operation took place on Monday as terrorists targeted an Army vehicle in the Asan, Sunderbandi Sector of Akhnoor in Jammu and Kashmir.
A massive search operation was launched to nab the terrorists.
A terrorist was killed in a search-cordon operation and the army recovered warlike stores.
Last year, six-year-old army dog Kent was killed while saving the life of a soldier during an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir.
