Salman Khan gets fresh death threat, Rs. 2 cr demanded from actor as ransom: Report

Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has received a fresh death threat in the form of an anonymous message where he was asked to pay Rs. 2 crore as ransom, media reports said.

The message, which was sent to Mumbai Traffic Control, claimed Salman would be killed if Rs. 2 crore is not paid.

Police have registered a case against an anonymous person.

The probe is underway.

The fresh threat comes a day after a 20-year-old person was arrested from Noida for similar ultimatum to the actor and NCP (Ajit Pawar) leader Zeeshan Siddique, whose father Baba Siddique was murdered earlier this month by Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

The accused, who has been identified as Shaikh Hussain Shaikh Mausin (24), demanded Rs. 5 crore from the actor to "end the enmity" with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, whose team took the responsibility of the murder of NCP (Ajit Pawar) leader Baba Siddique.

The actor, who was a close friend of Baba Siddique, had his security escalated after the politician's murder.

After Siddique's murder, one of the Bishnoi gang members shared a post on Facebook where he hinted at Siddique's close ties with Salman and links to underworld people that cost him his life.

On the night of April 14, gunfire shook Mumbai's Bandra neighbourhood when two men on motorbikes fired multiple rounds outside Salman Khan's residence.

The attackers, linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, were charged with conspiracy to murder and other serious crimes.
