Mumbai, Apr 30 (IBNS) In a shocking incident, a woman journalist on Thursday allegedly faced discrimination at a Mumbai function, organised by Swami Naryan Trust on cow slaughter.

Rashmi Rashmi Puranaik, reporter of a news channel claimed that she was asked by organisers to vacate her seat in the front row.

"in our culture women cannot occupy the front seat", the organisers reportedly said.

She was asked to take a back seat despite the fact that the first three rows were reserved for journalists.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was not present at the event.
