Punjab police takes Moga gang-rape survivor's name, claims she has lied
A 23-year-old girl alleged that eight men gangraped her on Tuesday when she went to her friend's house with a male friend.
Addressing a press conference Inspector General of Punjab Police PS Umramangal took the girl's name several times in his press conference.
The girl was allegedly raped by her friend's husband along with at least seven others.
The men then abandoned the girl outside the village. The victim has been hospitalised.
NDTV reported that a medical examination has confirmed rape. The police have registered a case against the friend and her husband and also 10 unnamed men, but no one has been arrested so far.
