Another Vyapam scam accused found dead

Bhopal, May 9 (IBNS) Yet another accused in the Vyapam scam of Madhya Pradesh- an admission and recruitment scam involving politicians, officials and businessmen- has been found dead under mysterious circumstances taking the toll to eight and making the case further complicated.
Reports said pharmacist  Vijay Singh, a key  accused in the Vyapam scam concerning the unauthorised disposal of application forms for exams has been found dead in a lodge in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh.

 He is the eighth accused to have died in the scam.

Police are waiting for the post mortem report, but preliminary investigation suggests that he may have been killed. 

There were injury marks on his wrist and neck.

Recently, Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav's son, Shailesh, was also found dead under mysterious circumstances. 

Alleged financial and administrative irregularities, including unauthorised disposal of application forms, worth crores of rupees by the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) have been pointed out in an audit report.

Indore Bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court earlier served notices to MPPEB and Medical Council of India (MCI) following a public interest litigation (PIL) filed by parents of some students after reports that more than 300 ineligible candidates managed to get into the merit list.
