New Delhi, June 30 (IBNS): In a fresh attack, the Congress on Tuesday released fresh documents in support of its claims that Dholpur Palace belonged to the Rajasthan government.

"After our expose on Dholpur Palace, BJP in Jaipur reacted in a lame duck manner,we are presenting more docs regarding that which conclusively prove that Dholpur Palace belong to the Government of Rajasthan," senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said while addressing a press conference.

The former Union Minister said: "Jamabandi for Samvat 2067 (year 2010),establishes the Ownership of Dholpur Palace clearly recorded as that of ‘Government’....Dushyant Singh, son of Smt Raje took compensation of Rs 2 crores for this 11 biswas of government land in league with Land Acquisition..This is double whammy for exchequer. Firstly, ‘State land’ is illegally occupied and a high-end luxury hotel is built on it."

The Congress leader said: "Despite overwhelming evidence,BJP & their Minister tried to justify ownership, but compromise was only for movable property."

Attacking the Centre, he said: "Perpetuation of falsehood by the entire ‘Modi government’& the BJP leadership is thus clearly established."

The Congress party on Monday presented documents to not only establish business relationship between Lalit Modi and Vasundhara Raje but also alleged that the former IPL commissioner and the Rajasthan Chief Minister converted a government property into a personal one

The BJP government at the Centre is hit by a controversy which involve the names of External Affairs Minister  Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje for allegedly helping former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi's  application for immigration to the UK in 2011.

Since the news came to surface, Oppositions are demanding the resignations of the two BJP bigwigs from their respective posts.
