Mumbai, Sep 4 (IBNS) Indrani Mukherjea has once again reportedly confessed to police that she murdered he daughter Sheena Bora, media reports said.

For the second day in a row, Indrani, a former media executive, was brought face-to-face with husband Peter Mukerjea at a police station.

On Thursday also she reportedly admitted to her role in Sheena's murder. However, her confession to police can not be used in the court.

Media reports said  Indrani was  asked if he hired the car in which Ms Bora was killed on April 24, 2012.

According to police, the car, with the body in the boot, was parked that night in the garage of the Mukerjeas.   The next morning, the corpse was  set on fire in a forest on the outskirts of Mumbai.

On that day, Peter Mukerjea was abroad in the UK.  He was interrogated for over 12 hours on Wednesday.

Indrani Mukerjea was arrested on August 24 for the murder of Sheena Bora, her daughter from an earlier relationship, in 2012.

Indrani used to present Sheena as her sister hiding their true relationship.

Peter Mukerjea  married  Indrani  in 2002 and set up a media company with her.

Sheena  was having a relationship with  Rahul, Peter Mukerjea's son from a previous marriage.

She  was stated to have been  strangled in a car and then her body was burnt and dumped in the forests in Raigad, 84 km from Mumbai.

The remains were found a month later and buried by the local police, which treated the body as unclaimed.

For three years, Indrani Mukerjea told family and friends that Sheena had shifted to the US.

The lid over the murder blew off recently following an anonymous call that made police to crack on the case.
