Militant killed in J&K encounter

Srinagar, Sept 12 (IBNS) Police on Saturday said local militant was killed during a gunfight in South Kashmir Kakapora village of Pulwama, police said.

According to reports, militants opened  fire on police vehicle ensuing fierce gun battle   leaves one militant dead.

An official identified the slain militant as Irshad Ahmad, a resident of Padgampora in this south Kashmir district.

More reinforcement has been sent to the area and operation is still going on in the area.
