Dadri lynching: Family of Mohammad Ikhlaq meets UP CM
According to media reports, the victim's mother was upset that the culprits are not yet punished.
Earlier on Saturday, two main accused involved in the killing of Ikhlaq were arrested by the police.
With the arrests of Vishal Rana and Shivam Kumar, a total number of nine persons have been detained so far.
Mohammad Ikhlaq was lynched by a mob earlier this week allegedly over rumours that he had eaten beef. Ikhlaq's 22-year-old son, who was also attacked, is in hospital in a serious condition.
"Police sources indicated that they suspect Vishal was among the main conspirators. He allegedly organised a meeting in which people were provoked to attack Iqlakh's family," NDTV reported.
On Saturday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said "Parties and Netas" who indulge in vote politics over religious lines have been benefited from the recent incident in which a man was beaten to death by a mob over a rumour.
Kejriwal had made the remark while visiting the Basera village in Dadri, on the outskirts of Delhi, to meet the family of Mohammad Ikhlaq.
"There has been no history of any communal tension in the village. On one side, Ikhlakh's family lost him, on the other, women say their children have been picked up the police for investigations. So who benefited? Only parties and netas," he had said.
"One party wants to make Muslims their vote bank. The other party wants to make Hindus their vote bank. If one party says attack Muslims because Hinduism is in danger, then they can't be Hindus at all," Kejriwal had said.
