Bihar polls second phase records 55 pct turnout
The polls in this phase took place in 32 seats in six Maoist-affected districts of the state.
Six Maoist-dominated districts- Kaimur, Rohtas, Arwal, Jehanabad, Aurangabad and Gaya went to polls on Friday.
A middle aged voter and A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan Harendra Singh Gurjar,died of heart attack respectively in Rafiganj and Imamganj constituencies.
A cane bomb was found by security personnel near a polling station in Balar village of Kasma police station area area under Rafiganj Assembly constituency, creating a stir among voters.
In this phase, 456 candidates were in fray.
The first phase of polling on Monday, saw a record voter turnout at 57 per cent. More women voted in the first phase (59.5 percent) than men (54.5 percent).
