Kolkata, Oct 17 (IBNS): Members of the Kalyani Youth Leadership Foundation (KYLF), who are students of the Globsyn Business School, distributed clothes and fruits to 51 inmates of the Home for Old & Infirm Political Sufferers at Subhasgram at South 24-Parganas district of West Bengal on the Mahalaya day.

Between 2009 and 2014, the KYLF had also organised the Durga Puja at this home.

Formed by the students of the Globsyn Business School, the KYLF helps them imbibe the practice of selfless social work as an integral part of their lives, providing them opportunities to contribute towards the betterment of society, and develop themselves as better human beings.

Among those who received the gifts, 58 year old Uma Devi said, “The students have come here today and I am feeling so good. They gave me food and a new saree and I just loved it.” 73 year old Pramila Karmakar shared her feelings by saying, "I wait for the students during this time of the year. I love them all. They are doing such good work! I bless them when they come here and they took such good care of me today. I used to stay in Behala and had a gold shop. I will wear the new saree that the students gave me during this Puja. I want them to come back next year. I feel happy when they come and sit here with me."
