Sheena Bora: CBI raids 9 locations in 5 cities

New Delhi/Kolkata, Oct 19 (IBNS): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday conducted raids at nine locations in five cities , including Mumbai, Kolkata and Guwahati, in connection with the ongoing probe into the Sheena Bora murder case.

According to CBI sources, the probe agency conducted raids at 4 houses of former Star India CEO Peter Mukherjea and his wife Indrani Mukherjea in Mumbai and Goa.

Indrani Mukherjea's parental-home in Guwahati was also raided.

One senior CBI officer told IBNS: "Today, we conducted raids at nine areas in five cities. Besides, 4 houses of Peter and Indrani Mukherjea in Mumbai and Goa, we also raided Indrani Mukherjea's driver Shyam Rai's houses in Mumbai and Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh."

"We also raided Indrani Mukherjea's parental-home in Guwahati and her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna's residence at Alipore area in Kolkata. Residence of one Sujit Sarkar, who was a security guard of Indrani Mukherjea's close businessman, at Beliaghata area in Kolkata was also searched," the officer further said.

The Mumbai Police had earlier arrested Indrani Mukherjea, Sanjeev Khanna and Shyam Rai for their alleged involvement in Sheena Bora murder case and they are in judicial custody.

Meanwhile, a local court in Mumbai on Monday extended the judicial custody of three accused- Indrani Mukherjea, Sanjeev Khanna and Shyam Rai- till Oct 31.
