Modi does not care about anyone: Amarinder Singh

Patiala, Nov 17 (IBNS) Taking a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress deputy leader in the Lok Shabha, Amarinder Singh has said that the PM barely cares about anyone, including his own party alliances.

Speaking to reporters here on Monday, Singh said that former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who too belonged to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), was much efficient in solving issues and paid heed to other people, unlike Narendra Modi.

The ex Punjab CM said that Modi is barely a salesman and not a leader and called for a new leader to emerge.

Heaping praise at Rahul Gandhi he said that it is time for the Gandhi Scion to take charge of his party.

Singh, who is hopeful of his party faring well in the forthcoming 2017 Punjab Assembly Elections said that they are open to forming alliances with like minded parties and have also dismissed the chances of other parties.

According to the Army veteran, people have been let down by the BJP government and it is the right time for the Congress to step into the picture.

When asked about the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its chances of forming a government, Singh said that people are clever enough too avoid inexperienced leaders.

With the grande alliance doing wonders for the Congress at the recently concluded Bihar elections, they might just press for another one in the Punjab elections.
