Kolkata, Nov 26 (IBNS) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday attacked the Centre over the issue of alleged growing intolerance and said 'profiling' people on their religion is 'unacceptable'.

"No one can dictate to people what to wear or eat," Banerjee said.

"On one hand they celebrate Constitution Day and on the other they profile people based on religion. This is unacceptable,” she said.

Coming out in support of actor Aamir Khan, who has triggered a controversy in recent time by his remarks on intolerance, said: "Aamir Khan has said what he felt as an Indian. Who are you to tell him to leave the country? It belongs to everyone.”
