PM Modi meets journalists, selfies clicked

India Blooms News Service | | 28 Nov 2015, 01:25 pm
New Delhi, Nov 28 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi met nearly 500 mediapersons in an informal event termed as Diwali Milan on Saturday as the media corp jostled to take selfies with the PM.
Modi began with a small address greeting the journalists who kind of jostled to take selfies with the PM.

The move is seen is some kind of a break from tradition as the PM was almost mobbed at the BJP headquarter here.  It is also seen as an effort to reach out to the media by the Prime Minister.

Earlier, to break the ice over the Goods and Services Tax bill, on Friday Prime Minister Narendra Modi  discussed the issue with Congress President Sonia Gandhi and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh over tea at his official residence.
