24-hour operation restored in Chennai airport

| | 07 Dec 2015, 10:45 am
Chennai, Dec 7 (IBNS) As the flood subsided, the Chennai airport resumed their 24-hour duty from Monday, according to reports.

Though it has been declared fully functional,  no international flights took off, while manual passes are being issued owing to  power shortage, reports said.

The airport is also using an Air Force radar as their own is damaged by the floods.

As other modes of transports like buses, trains and taxis back on track, the city is slowly returning to its normal state.

Though few banks have started to operate, schools and colleges will remain shut for now.
