Australian High Commissioner calls on Omar Abdullah

Srinagar, Dec 12 (IBNS) Australian High Commissioner to India Patrick Suckling called on former Chief Minister and National Conference Working President Omar Abdullah in New Delhi on Friday.

Commissioner was accompanied by Political Councilor in the Australian Embassy Jenny Grant-Curnow.

Patrick Suckling discussed various aspects of cooperation with Omar Abdullah and progressing relationship between the two countries and also the overall scenario in Jammu and Kashmir.

Abdullah highlighted the promising tourism potential of the state and expressed hope that Australia and various other countries would encourage its citizens to visit the state in larger numbers.
