I have done nothing against party line: Kirti Azad
"Accusing me of speaking on Cong-Pres instructions is undermining the role of the Chair i.e, #Speaker. The Chair decides who will speak," he tweeted on Sunday.
On Monday he said he had not done anything against party line. "I would tell BJP spokespersons to be careful while speaking in public," he said.
He said the SFIO (Serious Fraud Investigation Office) report has asked the DDCA several times for documents and he took the initiative to probe the matter.
Addressing the CBI, he said he has done all investigation while there is a move to stall the effort to root out corruption from sports.
"I want to tell the spokespersons that if all accounts were in order then why did the Registrar of Companies file a case against them?" he asked.
He said the matter is about corruption and not Arun Jaitley.
"Do not bring Jaitley into this. It's his birthday today and this matter is about corruption not Jaitley," he said.
Azad was suspended by BJP president Amit Shah for allegedly indulging in "anti-party" activities. The action followed Azad's repeated swipes at Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley over the alleged corruption in the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) which the latter headed for 13 years.
The Lok Sabha MP from Darbhanga in Bihar has been accusing DDCA officials of indulging in corruption. Even after his suspension Azad said that he will not surrender and continue to fight against corruption. "If speaking the truth is a crime, I will continue doing it. I will not surrender," he said.
Claiming that none of his actions were anti-party, he said that he has not spoken against a specific person but only pointed out certain anomalies in the working of the DDCA.
