Meerut: Police lathicharge BSP leader

Meerut, May 30 (IBNS) A local Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader and his supporters were allegedly lathicharged by the police in Meerut city of Uttar Pradesh on Friday, said reports.

According to reports, the leader and his supporters were celebrating his release from jail and blocked a road for the purpose.

The police said they had to resort to lathicharge to bring the situation under control.
