Talks with Pakistan only after action is taken on Pathankot attack : NSA Advisor
Talking to NDTV on Monda, Doval denied that he had told a newspaper that talks between the foreign secretaries of India and Pakistan expected this week.
He asserted that dates for the talks had not been fixed.
Last week, the foreign ministry had said that Pakistan must deliver "prompt and decisive action" on the evidence provided by India of the terror attack on January 2 at the Pathankot Air Force base.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Vikas Searup had said, "The ball is in Pakistan's court...The Immediate issue is Pakistan's response."
Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has assured Prime Minister Narendra Modi of his support in the investigation to uncover how the assault was conceived and executed.
Seven security personnel were martyred and another 20 injured when six terrorists crossed the border and launched the massive attack on the air base. All of the terrorists were eliminated after a three-day battle.
The attack came just a week after PM Modi made an unscheduled visit to Lahore and met Nawaz Sharif. After the attack, Mldi conveyed to Sharif that India wants to see urgent action.
