Datta Padsalgikar named as Mumbai Police Commissioner
Mumbai, Jan 30 (IBNS) Datta Padsalgikar has been named as the new Police Commissioner of Mumbai.
He will take over from Javed Ahmed.
Ahmed will retire on Jan 31.
"Bid Adieu to Mr. Ahmad Javed @ajxtopcop on his final day as @CPMumbaiPolice #GoodByeMrJaved," Mumbai Police tweeted.
Ahmed thanked his team and tweeted: "I wish my team all the best for the future. 140 characters will be inadequate to express my gratitude. Thank you @MumbaiPolice !"
