Mamata Banerjee mourns Balram Jakhar's death
Kolkata, Feb 3 (IBNS) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday mourned the death of former Lok Sabha Speaker Balram Jakhar.
She said Jakhar was a very encouraging person.
"Saddened at the passing of Balram Jakhar ji.In my first term as MP, as Speaker of LS, he was always very encouraging #RIP," Banerjee tweeted.
Jakhar died in New Delhi on Wednesday.
He was 92.
He served as Speaker of Lok Sabha from 1980 to 1989.
