Patiala court: Teachers, students, journalists attacked

New Delhi, Feb 17 (IBNS) In a repetition of Monday's ugly scene, a group of lawyers attacked students, teachers and journalists at the Patiala House court premises here on Wednesday.


The attack occurred ahead of a hearing on the case related to arrested JNU student leader Kanhaiya Kumar.

He was arrested last week on sedition charges.

Wednesday's assault was also led by one Vikram Chauhan  .

 Reporter Tarique Anwar, who works for Firstpost, has been attcked on Wednesday.

The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU)  is currently facing protests and counter protests with the police cracking down on students over the anti-India slogans raised earlier to mark the death anniversary of Parliament Attack convict Afzal Guru on its campus in the national capital.

JNU teachers, students and media persons were allegedly attacked by lawyers in New Delhi's Patiala Court on Monday.
