Kejriwal blasts BJP over OP Sharma treatment
"Centre's new IPC- rape, murder or beat anyone. When questioned, just say that victim was shouting anti-India slogans, u will be let off," tweeted Kejriwal.
He said under the "Centre's new IPC- it's not a crime to murder, rape or beat anyone if u r [you are] from BJP."
"Being opposed to BJP n [and] RSS is biggest crime now," he said.
Sharma was summoned by the police only three days after he was seen on camera chasing and attacking a Leftist last Monday when Kanhaiya Kumar was to be produced.
He had pleaded that he acted against those who were shouting anti-India slogans.
Journalists were beaten up on the same day by some lawyers.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday agreed to hear a petition which sought action against those involved in beating up students, teachers and journalists in Patiala House court complex on Monday.
The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is currently facing protests and counter protests with the police cracking down on students over the anti-India slogans raised earlier to mark the death anniversary of Parliament Attack convict Afzal Guru on its campus in the national capital.
