Islamabad, Feb 20 (IBNS) Pakistani investigators are likely to visit India to collect evidence related to the alleged involvement of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorists in the Pathankot airbase attack in India last month, media reports said.

The investigators are likely to visit India next month.

“The investigation team’s visit is expected,” a senior diplomat told Dawn News.

Pakistan has lodged a First-Information Report (FIR) against the alleged attackers of the Pathankot airbase.

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of the Punjab police lodged the FIR.

FIR number 06/2016 was registered in the CTD police station Gujranwala under sections 302, 324 and 109 of the Pakistan Penal Code, and sections 7 and 21-I of the Anti-Terrorism Act, the CTD spokesman was quoted as saying by Dawn News on Friday.

An investigation has been launched into the case.
