New Delhi, Mar 7 (IBNS) The Delhi Police on Monday arrested a man who had announced a bounty on JNU president Kanhaiya Kumar's head, reports said.

The arrested man has been identified as Adarsh Sharma.

He was arrested in connection with the case registered over sticking posters where a reward of Rs 11 lakh was announced for shooting Kumar.

Sharma claims himself as the president of 'Poorvanchal Sena'.

The posters were spotted at several places in New Delhi.

Kanhaiya Kumar, a supporter of Left ideologies, was released recently from Tihar Jail after 23 days of imprisonment. After his release he delivered a fiery speech in the JNU campus targetting PM Modi and comparing him with Hitler.

He was booked on sedition charges, moments after anti-national slogans were reportedly heard inside the JNU campus.
