New Delhi, Mar 18 (IBNS) A Delhi court on Friday granted six months interim bail to JNU students Umar Khalid and Anirban Bhattacharya.

Both the students are facing sedition charges for allegedly shouting 'anti-national' slogans last month.

They have directed to furnish a bail bond of Rs 25,000 and an equal amount in surety by the court.

Both the students are accused of organizing an event to mark the death anniversary of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru where anti-India slogans were raised.

JNU student leader Kanhaiya Kumar earlier walked out of jail on an interim bail after being interned for three weeks on sedition charges.

Kanhaiya was arrested first after an event in the JNU campus where Afzal Guru's death anniversary was observed and anti-India slogans were allegedly raised.
