Chhattisgarh: Sonia Gandhi condemns Maoist attack

New Delhi, Mar 30 (IBNS): Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday mourned the death of seven CRPF men in a landmine blast triggered by Maoists in Chhattisgarh.

"Smt. Sonia Gandhi has expressed deep anguish & condolences over the martyrdom of CRPF Jawans in a land mine blast in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh," Congress tweeted.

"Condemning the mindless violence perpetrated by the Left Wing Extremists, Smt Gandhi hoped the guilty are brought to book at the earliest," read another tweet.

At least seven Central Reserve Police Force or CRPF were killed as the vehicle in which they were traveling was hit by a landmine blast carried out by Maoists in Chhattisgarh on Wednesday, media reports said.

The incident occurred in Dantewada area of the state.
