Lawmakers raise odd-even issue in Parl

New Delhi, Apr 25 (IBNS)The Parliament witnessed a rare scene on Monday when lawmakers discussed the odd-even rules which is currently applicable in Delhi.

Several lawmakers said the rule should not apply to them.

Speaking in the Rajya Sabha, Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad should b exempted from the rule during the Parliament session.

He said: "Lawmakers should be exempted from the rule just for this Parliament session."

According to reports, several parliamentarians violated the rule on Monday.

BJP MP Paresh Rawal apologized and tweeted: "Made a serious blunder by travelling in a odd number car to parliament ... Sorry to Arvind ji n Delhiite."

Delhi is currently following the second phase of the odd-even scheme.
