Selfie with pistol: 14-year-old injures himself gravely in Punjab

Pathankot, Apr 30 (IBNS) A 14-year-old boy accidentally shot himself while posing with a pistol to click a selfie on Saturday morning in Punjab's Pathankot city, reports said.

The boy, who is in an intensive care unit battling for his life, has been identified as Ramandeep, a class IX student.

Reports have stated that he was posing with his father's licensed pistol.

Following reports of the incident, the police have seized the arm.

Manoj Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Pathankot, was quoted by NDTV as saying, "We got information that a boy has accidently shot himself, when we came here family told us that he was trying to take selfie with his mobile phone. We are investigating the matter."
