Mercedes hit-and-run case: Accused teenager to be tried as adult

New Delhi, June 4 (IBNS): The Delhi Police's plea over trying the teenager accused in the Mercedes hit-and-run case here as an adult has been allowed by the Juvenile Justice Board.

The accused was 17 at the time of the crime.

He has turned 18 just four days after the accident occurred.

The juvenile, who was involved in Apr 4 hit and run case in Delhi, which resulted in the death of a man, was a repeat offender, according to reports.

The boy's father, the owner of the Mercedes.

A 32-year old marketing executive, Siddharth Sharma, died after the over-speeding vehicle lost control and knocked him down
